Ethos: Coca-Cola is a very large company that is accredited to it’s representation of itself.
Pathos: Coca-Cola is representing Coke Zero on the idea that it tastes just like regular Coca-Cola, yet it has zero calories. This makes people feel healthy.
Logos: There are zero calories in Coke Zero.
Misconception: I have tried Coke Zero on a couple of occasions and it does not taste anything close to regular Coca-Cola. Coca-Cola sells Coke Zero on the idea of it tasting nothing like Diet Coke and more like Regular Coca-Cola.

As I finished putting all of my things away in my dorm, my roommate, Matt, walks into the door. I had already spoken to him through facebook, which really doesn’t mean anything these days. What I knew from facebook was that he had a girlfriend, he was from Chicago, and he played soccer in High School. I looked through all of his photo’s online trying to see who he was. When he opened his mouth his Chicago twang fired right off his lips. Not only was it thick. I decided to go ahead and help him bring all his things into the room. When I got to the van I realized he had a ton of things. By a ton of things I mean triple of what I could fit in my dad’s truck. It took about six trips with the help of his whole family to move everything into the room. After moving everything I decided it would be best to let them handle the rest of the room all to themselves. I went with my mom to get something to eat and look around campus. About three hours later my mom left and I went back to the dorm. I open the door to find that all of his family is still moving things around asking where things are, where to put things, and so on. Eventually everything was moved into our dorm. We talked about school and sports and other things and had a peaceful first night.
What you write should be more enjoyable to read. Be personal and use your own style.
Peer revision give you a better idea of the actual feeling your piece has, while a teacher will just give you a grade and leave it at that. When only told what grade you have you won’t be able to successfully improve your writing.
